Assistant Planner
Aayush Patel
Aayush is an Assistant Planner with a passion for crafting livable and sustainable communities who joined McKenna in 2023. His roles and expertise span support for comprehensive planning, site reviews, urban design, master planning, Geographic Information System (GIS), architecture, and graphic development. He is deeply committed to incorporating public feedback into his work, believing that pragmatic urban design practices foster thriving communities and cities. He is also very passionate about ecological planning/design and its impact on the built environments and larger natural systems. Aayush volunteers some of his time at Territory NFP, a non-profit urban design practice based out of the west side of Chicago.
Aayush has a significant background in architecture/design fields. He holds a Master of City Design from University of Illinois in Chicago and a Bachelor of Architecture from Mumbai University in India.
