The City of Walker has a long history of comprehensive and land use planning to accommodate their various and widely different neighborhoods.

MCKENNA’S ROLE

» Separated the City into four districts and conducted individualized public engagement to gain a deep understanding of each area.

» Utilized this understanding to create a plan to best address challenges as well as maximize existing assets.

» Partnered with Prein&Newhof to work together to achieve a new comprehensive vision.

OUTCOME

McKenna and City staff stitched together the four plans like a jigsaw puzzle, creating a vision that worked on a City-wide level, but also addressed individual neighborhood concerns.
