Community participation has the dual benefit of generating fresh ideas while building grassroots support among key stakeholders. McKenna involves the public throughout the planning and design process, not just at the initial visioning stage.
We recognize public confidence in the process supports public officials in their implementation of plans, particularly during debates on difficult planning issues. Our trained facilitators are skilled at creating open, public discussions in which differing opinions are welcomed, heard and reconciled so the entire community can work toward common objectives.
The project gallery to the right contains some examples of our public involvement work.
