Community Development

Both the public and non-profit sectors engage in activities that serve to empower under-represented or disadvantaged individuals. One way in which communities are able to further their community development goals is to administer federal Community Development Block Grants and other federal or state grant programs designed to bolster local employment, affordable housing and the built environment in lower-income areas.

McKenna has a decades-long tradition of assisting communities and non-profits in administering and managing community development grant programs to bring about meaningful change.

The project gallery to the right contains some examples of our community development work.
