Welcome to the Village of Glenwillow Master Plan web site. We appreciate your interest in the Village of Glenwillow and the master planning process. A Master Plan is an important tool used to identify needs and to set the Village's direction for the future.
The Village of Glenwillow's Master Plan provides a foundation for decision-making, and serves as the framework and a guide for planning, design, and project implementation. It is also an opportunity for you to participate in defining the future of the Village through public involvement in the planning process.
We hope you find this web site helpful and informative. We will be updating the site frequently as the Plan progresses, so please check the site periodically for updated information. Information regarding upcoming meetings will be available on the Next Steps Page, which can be accessed by clicking on the Next Steps portion of the Latest Updates section in the sidebar on the left side of all pages. We welcome your participation in the master planning process and look forward to working with you in the months ahead.
All Master Plan Steering Committee meetings are open to the public and your presence and input at meetings is always welcome. Policymakers rely on public input to devolp a Master Plan that is representative of the wants and/or needs of the residents of the Village of Glenwillow.
If you are unable to attend scheduled Steering Committee meetings, or if you feel uncomfortable sharing input at public meetings, please utilize the message board. Comments posted to the message board will be reviewed by the Steering Committee on a continual basis and taken into consideration as elements of the Village of Glenwillow Master Plan are formulated.
This web site is intended to:
- Inform you of important dates, including upcoming Master Plan Steering Committee meetings, where you will have an opportunity to comment on and influence the Plan. Click here for a tentative Project Timeline (up to date as of May 26, 2009). Please note that the Project Timeline is subject to change depending upon the availability of Steering Committee members, and Planning Commission/Village Council meeting schedules and agenda items. The web site will be updated to keep residents apprised of any changes in the Project Schedule.
- Post agendas from past and upcoming Master Plan Steering Committee meetings
- Provide DRAFT versions of the Master Plan text and maps
- Solicit public input from the residents of the Village of Glenwillow as it relates to any aspect of the DRAFT Plan. Comments could include items such as, things you like or would like to see changed about the Village, your future vision for the Village, or general comments related to DRAFT text and maps.
