McKenna Associates announces that Senior Planner Seth Shpargel has received national accreditation

(Northville, MI; December 3, 2007) McKenna Associates, the Midwest’s largest community planning and landscape design firm announced today that Senior Planner Seth Shpargel, AICP, has received national accreditation by the American Institute of Certified Planners, the professional institute providing leadership nationwide in the certification of professional planners. Shpargel’s AICP accreditation follows more than three years of providing outstanding community planning services to communities across Michigan.

“Seth’s significant contribution to community planning, economic development and urban design is demonstrated through the work he has done for his client communities,” said Phillip C. McKenna, president and CEO of McKenna Associates. “The AICP accreditation makes official his outstanding capability and eagerness to use his planning skills to help communities.” 

Shpargel currently provides planning services to Grosse Pointe, Commerce Township, Plymouth Township, Walled Lake, the Village of Oxford, and Monitor Township. He has previously assisted the Detroit Housing Commission, City of Rockwood, Berlin Township, and City of Orchard Lake Village. A native of Oak Park, Michigan, Shpargel earned a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University. He has been a member of McKenna Associates’ team since 2004.
