MCKENNA PROVIDING ASSISTANCE WITH HUD's NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM

Recently HUD announced emergency assistance to stabilize neighborhoods and stem the decline of housing values in the wake of the nation’s foreclosure crisis. Authorized under Title III of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, the Neighborhood Stabilization Program provides funds for communities to undertake a number of redevelopment activities on foreclosed properties that might otherwise become sources of blight and abandonment.

This emergency assistance provides great opportunity for eligible communities. But to take advantage of this funding, communities must submit approved plans to HUD no later than December 1, 2008.

McKenna Associates can assist communities in developing and winning local approval for plans within HUD’s tight deadline. Our team is experienced in crafting programs that meet HUD criteria, securing HUD funding and administering federal programs at the local level.
